Within four years of completing his MBA in 2000, Anand chucked his cushy telecom job to jump headlong into his father's small Cloth business. From a 500 sq. feet traditional shop managed in the gaddi style, Anand almost single-handedly converted Anand Cloth stores into a 50,000 sq feet modern retailing outfit - the largest homegrown enterprise in Odisha. He did it in flat four years, setting up the most modern management systems and processes in AnandWorld. Bibi Sarkar
Owner of TAAJA'S restaurant

Started my own restaurant called TAAJA'S at Golpark an upmarket area in Kolkata, West Bengal in 1986 I started off by selling momos and thukpa, at that time not available anywhere else in the city. I followed it up with Khau Swey, Risotto, Moussaka and other eclectic food from across the globe. It was the first stand alone restaurant in the city with such a global menu situated in a verdant green patio. Since then although my restaurant has moved location a few times the menu has just got better and more interesting over the years. Some of the menu items have become comfort food for my patrons. Dishes created by me are being copied and served by other restaurants. Over the decades my restaurant in its various avatars, has been featured in both the print and audio visual media. It has won a number of awards as one of the top restaurants in the city of Kolkata. Currently called BIBI OF TAAJA'S my restaurant is located at 35 Dhakuria Station Road Kolkata 700031. Apart from operating a restaurant I have also been catering to parties ranging from 10 to 500 pax. I have been able to make a name for myself as a chef of repute. I am often invited to judge cookery contests and give cookery demonstrations. I hold cookery workshops on a regular basis and provide consultancy services to aspiring restaurateurs. A restaurant set up by me called Café 23, recently won the best continental restaurant award within 4 months of start up. I am a food columnist with a local newspaper and my articles are highly appreciated. I am considered quite a celebrity among the food fraternity of the city. I have recently been made the brand ambassador for the newly launched Kissan Sweet & Spicy Sauce.
